Personal Philosophy

I believe that a good psychotherapist should have a wide range of training and experience. He or she should be familiar with the history of psychotherapy and skilled in the use of a number of therapeutic treatment modalities. He should be able to compare and contrast various treatment approaches in order to more effectively develop his own unique style for helping patients in the best possible way.

His personal therapy is a must in order to figure out what dynamics he brings to the psychotherapy treatment encounter. Helping a fellow human being requires dedication and skill that comes from hard work and blossoms in such a way that allows the patient to develop and exhibit his full self actualization potential. Just as you would not hire a plumber with only one tool in his equipment kit, you should not confine yourself to a therapist with such a limited arsenal in his repertoire of treatment approaches.

A well rounded, effective therapist must possess the experience, training and expertise of a mature professional who is dedicated to help you as a fellow human being in need of assistance. The journey to personal change at its most meaningful level is by its very nature that which requires all of us to travel down the road less traveled, with a guide skilled and willing to travel this road with you. This adventure to be most effective requires care and love for your patient.
